Guide to Contemporary Underground Hardcore Techno projects

Map to contemporary and exciting Hardcore Techno labels, artists, crews (Bandcamps included!)

Hardcore Techno and Gabber House are having a comeback big time. But they also really never went away.
This means that after the very meager years (or decades!) which were dominated by "things" like 'Mainstream Hardcore', Uptempo, finally some good stuff is being poured out en masse again.
But this new territory can be hard to navigate, as a lot of the people and labels involved are not really connected, information can be hard to find, releases can be hard to find, and let's face it - the "big social networks" favor the "terrible old men" of commercial and out-dated Hardcore "things" (like the abovementioned uptempo mainstream etc.) because they put the big bucks in the social networks, buying adverts and fans. This means there are few "info channels" that remain for our own little music scene.

In order to improve this situation a bit, we are trying to compile a kind of listing / guide / map of the "fresh, good" stuff.
A map leading into the maze of the hardcore underground!
Eligible for this list are all projects related to Hardcore Techno, except the more boring and mainstream stuff.
Thus, Oldschool, Terror, Doomcore, Acidcore, Gabber, Rough Techno - it's good to go!

We might be a bit more restrictive toward pure ultra-speedcore/breakcore etc. stuff since there are many communities and info-channels for these already, they might not need this promotion - and frankly, these scenes are so huge now that they would like "drown" this database with entries.

Note: while a lot of these labels undoubtly focus on "oldschool", we are also very open to brand new experiments in hardcore exploration.

And here we go again:

(version 0.1 - this is still a draft version, and we are working on making this database huge)

Labels

Rotjecore

As the name imples, this labels centers on re-viving the good old Rotterdam Hardcore of the 90s via new releases.
But there is a lot more to be found here, from Doomcore to all-out Terror and Speedcore!

Example:
Rotterdam Hardcore Trax Vol. 3

Gabbaret Records

There is also an Oldschool Gabber focus here, but the label is also known for it's satiricial / novelty / "comedy" releases that still deliver bangers to the dancefloor.
And since it's conception, the label grew to incorporate a huge amount of other styles, too - from jumpstyle to noisecore!

Example:
Tales of the 90's Terror

Aneurysm

Aneurysm follows a pretty unique concept: They purely release stuff by legendary producers of the 90s, but they let them do *new* stuff - in some cases this are the first new output by these legends since decades!
Focus is on Extreme Hardcore / Noizecore / Speedcore stuff.

Habitual Offenders - The Equality Of Violence E.P. https://aneurysmrecordings.bandcamp.com/album/habitual-offenders-the-equality-of-violence-e-p

Gvtter Cvnt

The successor of the infamous Legs Akimbo label.
Multiple styles, but mostly of the noizy and speedy variety.

Speedcore Worldwide Artist Network

One of the biggest contemporary labels around! (I guess a lot of these releases got more plays than most of the mainstream hardcore / hardstyle etc labels).
Don't let the name of the label fool you - the releases cater to almost every taste, including oldschool, noize, industrial black metal... even some doomcore and industrial core can be found on here!

Kovaydin.NET

"The Finnish Hardcore Techno Underground!" - nomen est omen.
You can find some shamancore, speedcore, and other delicacies on here.

Noisj

Another *huge* label! Mostly known for their Industrial Hardcore pioneer work, this label also offers goods such as oldschool, acidcore, or, yes, even some more "mainstream" sounds.

Omnicore Records

By definition a label for "all styles of music", not just Hardcore. Yet the releases are somewhat centered on the Extreme / Experimental Hardcore sound of the 90s - obviously inspired by labels like Fischkopf or Drop Bass Network.
Also plenty of Ravecore / Trancore releases can be found here.

There are some - ahem - more "mainstream hardcore" releases too, but they also put out lots of exciting and oldschool stuff.
